Subject: Re: Cordless drill machinery

NW Illinois
I'm all Milwaukee on cordless (and lot's of corded, too). I have several of the M18 tools with both the extended run and standard batteries and can't say enough good about them. I spent a lot of time researching before I bought mine and ended up Milwaukee, but I think you can't go wrong with any of the major brands. That being said, my brother (a plumber) used my Milwaukee's and their shop has since transitioned from Dewalt to Milwaukee....but that was before the latest Dewalt's came out.

There is a new M18 technology from Milwaukee (Fuel?) introduced since I purchased mine, if I remember right they changed some stuff with the motors and power management. I don't have any experience with those. Hope that helps!

PS - +1 on the impacts, I didn't have one in the kit I originally bought and after buying an impact my drill stays in the bag most of the time.
