Ya but how many learning drivers can a 8 LL handle? For one reason or another, counting myself, in about 4 years have had 6 newbies learn to shift an un - synchronized transmission in my IH 4900 and I haven't started to teach the wife yet. I feel sorry for that transmission.
They are amazingly tough and they are cheaper to fix. I don't know how well you shift but once you have it figured out they will last indefinetly. Myself and three of my sisters plus about a hundred other people learned on our old cabovers, if you can shift those things you can shift anything :-).
