West MI | Do you guys that own DMI's (530B or 730B's) like using the Tiger Points or do you prefer a solid point like Deere offers (Laser Points)? I bought a nice used 530B last fall and switched over to Laser Points since the Tiger blades and tips were worn out but the frogs are still good. Kept the Tiger Points in the event I would like to switch back over but have yet to cover enough acres to wear out the Deere points.
Good point on the disc levelers, mine have some play in them and I was wondering if they would need rebuilt but it sounds like I can tighten them up.
My neighbor runs his without the pre-fracture shanks on, says they don't do any good but I can't see that. I am running mine, in fact I hardfaced them all to get better wear off of them. Any opinions on this? | |
