Pontiac, IL. | As stated above, get whatever matches your tractors best. My first Bush Hog batwing had a 540--no problems, The Bush Hog I am running now is identical, only 1000 RPM. Did this so we could use it on different tractors (some with only 1000) I mow a lot of road ditches, and I really LIKE the CV joints. They run much smoother when turning. I know they are more expensive to replace, if you have to replace them, but my mower is 6 years old, and has mowed hundreds of miles of ditches, and I have yet to replace one. | |
