| 16' high doors, and that means 16' clearence, from the finished grade to the bottom of the door header. 60 to 66 width (trusses) is the cheapest per sq. ft. It's fairly easy to add length and/or lean-to's later, difficult to add width or height. Easier to put big doors in the end wall. Leave as many options open as possible. Unless you are planning for more than storage in the loft, consider 8' instead of the 16'. Would suggest more man doors, egress and access to other parts. Would at least plumb for rest room, shower, sink, and other office/living needs. Depending on what you might be working on, a pit might be helpful. Lift can be added later if desired. | |
