Hagen Brothers farms,Goodrich ND
We took in the truck / tractor pull at the county fair last night.

The area is sparsly populated, so the little 100+ year old fair struggles to survive.
They pulled enough local pickups and a few of the Red River Valley pullers to make it interesting.

The picture is from my phone camera and was near dark at the time. Think his DEF tank ran dry :)

We have one ND puller(Don Dufner) who loves those old 2 cyl JD's he has constructed tractors using as many as three 2 cyl JD combined, has one pair of 830's in tandem with a sound guard cab installed. Looks pretty slick.
(He farmed with those multiple hooks, not just puller tractors)

Don has been in tractor pulling for about 50 years. He has run his "Green Goat 2 cyl chassis, puller tractor, powered by a cross mounted 428 Ford V8 for atleast 30 years.
Last night he made an expermental run with his latest 2 cyl puller tractor chassis, powered by a cross mounted (get this :) Allison V12. It was near totally dark, and he did not have the fuel system sorted out yet, but when he got it cleared out enough to make a pass pulling the sled past the grandstands, he made more noise than any Allison powered rig I have ever heard. Sorry, too dark for a picture :-)
