Subject: Gooseneck Trailer Options

Central Illinois
Looking to upgrade trailers. Duel purpose, normally behind 3/4 ton pick-up and on a single axle semi with heavy loads. Basically need 27 ft. deck, 5 ft. beaver tail, 2 flip-over ramps, 12K axles. Have had no problems with electric drum brakes in the last 22 years on 7000 axles. Which brakes would be better on this heavy of a trailer ? If given a choice, I would prefer a "painted" trailer instead of Powder Coated. Find it easier to touch-up chips or any welded modifications. Any suggestions? Steve
