Subject: RE: Ford running gear

central - east central Minnesota -

Mnsidehill - 5/31/2012 21:55 Have a ford running gear that I need a hub for . The serial number plate is wore and I can't see any model number on it. Did they make there own running gears? The inside bearing is a LM48548 and the outer bearing is a LM501349. Case dealer cant cross over to anything they have.

Shoup has referece pic's/charts to wagon hubs/bearings (Hub & Spindle Kits) -
It would be very, very unique - if the ford was different then any other standard hub out in the market place over the past 80 yrs up till now.
Not sure where you are located in Mn, but if you can't find it from Shoup, any bearing house around Mpls or St Cloud would have it or could get it. Interstate bearing is a major player (interstate cummin's - mpls) Ikler bearing in ST Cloud would have it or be able to get it also.
In the spring Catolog of Shoup's - they have a 5 bolt hub kit, with the LM485448 bearing (front) and a LM48510 (rear) or they have a 6 bolt LM501349 front and LM501310 rear - different then yours, but the whole kit is 85 bucks and 107 bucks (kit is hub, bearings, spindle  - need to cut your spendle off and weld on new ?
Could be worth a call and see what else they have - AS they have a hub chart and a spindle chart -  you wlll need the measurements of your spindle to match a hub to it.

Edit: Pioneer Rim and Wheel is another source in Mpls - http://www.pioneerwheel.com/
