We are only using the half width disconnect on our 1790 with Swath Control but I've found that the sooner the planter is dropped, the better off you are. I told Dad I want to go to 90ft endrows next year instead of 60ft for that reason. In point rows ours never turns on late because the planter gets dropped soon enough (I think) to allow it time to get its ducks in a row.
