Eastern VA. No such thing as too many Magnums.
It is very dependant on the exact right size plate for the seed. Now they don't grade seed. They were pretty bad even WITH graded seed. Before vacuum planters, we used to plant a lot of vegetables with plates. They were terrible. They crack a good percentage of the seed.
No major manufacturer even offers the forsaken things, they're that bad! Over time, it will cost you bigtime. Maybe ok for game plots.
