I'm not sure that I understand the logic in putting spring load limits on gravel county roads, as some SD counties do.
Can't speak for anywhere else, but gravel roads are the first to catch heck here when the frost leaves. They can go from good to undrivable pretty quickly this time of year. Only good thing is that they're easier to fix than a paved road when that gets torn up.
