Statesville, NC | The stopped up air cleaner caused it to run like the choke is on, gas washing down the cylinders and getting in the crankcase, plugs fouling, crankcase is too full, and the problem builds on itself. I didn't ask before, but I'm guessing it's a Vanguard series. They are great engines, but they do need the things I mentioned: 30 wt oil, not overfull, and clean air filters. Also remember paper air filters that have an oil film may look clean, but will not flow well. | |
