Actually, we deal with 'wetlands' here on part of one farm as it's in a draw. Wanted to clean it up and put up some small pivots for research plots but were not allowed to touch it.
Yeah, I'm just kidding around a little. We have a playa lake that is considered wetland. Can't do much with it except keep the weeds mowed down. Probably shouldn't be doing that either. Granddad did some dirt work down in there pre-1985 and for a long time everytime they would look at the aerial photos they would fuss at him about manipulating his wetlands, but he would tell them it was before there were any rules. So he got by with it. |
