anyone else like these tool boxes? it was on sale for $698. they have a 11% rebate on it this week too. brought the price down to $670.08 with tax, less rebate. it seemed well made and was impressed on how smooth the draws worked. looked like a good toolbox for the money to me so i got it. i like the double set of drawers too. might help me organize my tools instead of randomly throwing them in.

I have a base....not exactly like it....mine has drawers that go all the way across. I put a montezuma box on top. I have had it 4 years or so and it gets used quite a bit. It seems to be holding up well. I use the lower drawers for air tools, upper drawers have impact socket sets in them, so some of them have quite a bit of weight in them and the drawer glides work well.

Bought exact one back in Dec. Don't know about longevity , but thought it was more solid then a Homak Runnings had and better then the Sears and Northern tool ones I checked out. Seems like the drawers work nicely and don't flop back and forth too easy.

Sears sells a Montezuma labeled version of the Masterforce box for a lot more money. I have been eye balling these boxes for a long time. I'm probably going to have to get one at some point. I've always thought they looked really well built and they are very reasonably priced. Alot of my farmer customers are using Masterforce boxes. I wish they offered different colors though. Craftsman doesn't have the quality they once did.

got my dad one for xmas and he really likes it. I've been impressed with the quality of it so far. One of my friends has one as well, no problems there either. It's a great box for its price.

I like my Masterforce boxes and would buy them again. I think they are better made than most of the junk Sears sells now. The drawers are smooth to use even when loaded heavy. One thing to watch is they can work open when rolled across the shop but a turn of the key will stop it. I think they are one of the best boxes you can buy for the money.

I hate to be negative(after all the good reviews here) but I would never buy Masterforce again. Rolling it across a smooth floor in the summer ALL the drawers will open up(hate to have to lock it to prevent this) and it will tip over. In the winter you need both hands to open drawers. One benefit of it tipping over twice on me is now the drawers are tweaked enough that they open pretty hard so they stay closed when rolling it around. On the plus side I love the shelf/table that pulls out at the bottom of the top chest. I read many good reveiws on this combo before I bought mine but feel misled. I've also heard alot of good things about other pieces of machinery but when I bought one it was a nightmare for breakdowns. But I found out that's how life is. I wish you the best with your new purchase. Brad

I'm a service tech and have the same box as you are looking at. Have Had it for 4 years no problems. It sure beats the craftsman I had for 3 years and junked. Also have a Mastercraft 26 inch top box in my service truck 4 years and 60,000 miles without any problems at all.
