Subject: RE: hello ben, could you share some of your soil analysis

North Central Ohio, across the Corn belt !

gotdew - 2/2/2012 22:35 Im in over my head already, but i will try to see if i can get some help here. From what i understand the closer you get to a 10 to 1 ratio with calcium and magnesium you start to get a tie up of nutrients. I have some soil tests from alfalfa fields that are showing a high ratio and also the yields have been down. Have been given a recommedation of putting on gypsum. Are there any other quick or miracle cures for getting the ratio more in balance. Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated. TIA

Numbers ?

who told you a 10 to 1 was better ?
