Martinsville, Ohio | Thanks for the compliment but I am rather common compared to the brains on this board. I am a student of soil though, just not at the top of the class.
I think you answered your own question with your reply to Garth. You are removing it as fast as you put it in, maybe faster. Sounds like you must be getting some decent if not awesome yields when it rains, too.
You have to melt residue into the soil with plow or microbes, I choose microbes which it sounds like you have, too. You have to put more organic material in then you take out which isn't possible with your rotation. You are feeding 4 legged critters it sounds instead of microscopic ones.
That's your answer from my viewpoint in a nutshell. I will be quiet and listen to others perspective now.
