What year are my John Deere lawn mowers?

Subject: What year are my John Deere lawn mowers?


Boone, Iowa

I have a John Deere 425 and a 445 lawn mower.  Is there a website I can go to and find out what year these mowers are, according to the serial numbers?  Thanks.

the serial number will be either on teh right hand side frame rail on the lower part of mower right above the deck or on the rear just above the drawbar hole.

Boone, Iowa		That is for the tractor serial number. I didn't remember seeing the kawasaki engine serial number on there. I would think it would be on the engine. I heard it was on a sticker at the front of the engine, below the crankshaft, but the sticker is gone.

I dont remember where the engine serial number is on them. Been a while since I worked at thd jd dealer.
