Subject: Kawasaki Mule 3010

Central KY
Have a 2007 Kawasaki Mule 3010 4x4 with just over 100 hours that has several issues to say the least. First off, the it seems to be very cold natured, which seems to be commonplace among all Mules. Second, when I go to put it in gear after starting, the gears grind. Third, I cant seem to get the carb adjusted properly. If I get it to idle properly, then it will barely run when you hit the accelerator. I have heard there are many solutions to each of these problems, such as replacing the jets in the carb, valve adjustment, etc. I just wanted to check and see if anyone else had any experience with the Mule. Going to try to tackle these issues in the next few days. Thanks in advance for any help.

My father has a 2008 3010 4x4 gas. Bought it at deceased elderly neighbor's estate sale. Was a cream puff with 100 hrs. Has to choke it even after warming up when restarting. The 1984 Honda Big Red still starts much better than the mule. I'm not impressed at all with the Kawaski! Remember the commercials 25 years ago? Follow the leader he is on a Honda!

Subject: "HONDA BIG RED" Solution for all your Problems...

Get a Honda.... Recently bought a left over 2010 Honda Big Red MUV... Has the fuel Injection goes about 42mph down the road and always starts and will idle in ANY cold..... Kinda Pricy but one of those things i think you get what you pay for... No Belt Drive Just Forward Neautral Reverse and Hammer down.... Salesmen did say in the Extreme Cold to let Idle for 10 min before Tearing around to help warm the Transmission... Engine and Tranny run in the Same oil.... sooo When motor is running the tranny is warming too.... Junk the Kawasaki......... IMO......

My step son has one with the same problems--how do they sell those things? Seems like once the word got around no one would buy them.

My 3010 is a diesel so the way it runs will be totally different but I would think the gear grinding might be from too fast an idle or a clutch adjutment. Mine doesn't do the grinding.

I guess I should be happy mines a diesel. Bought it used.

Subject: Could Starting Problems be related to low battery?

Near Richmond, IN

My step son's Mule gets hard to start when he's been using it some but he doesn't use it for very long.  The battery gets so it still spins it over but it gets hard to start.  I've noticed that when the battery is fully charged that it starts and runs easily so I'm wondering if the battery gets low, then maybe there isn't enough voltage to both spin the motor and also get a strong spark and run the fuel pump at the same time?   If that could be possible I'm thinking that maybe a larger battery, more like what's in a car might help and then keep it on a trickle charger when not in use.  Any thoughts on that?
