I would think so. We're pulling a 59' 350 bushel cart with 360 hp. The Versatile just idles right along with it, only when the machine is sunk down a foot in mud does it really notice the drills.

We're a few miles north on 28. Mostly deal with them, actually.

Double Shoot or single if you are running two fans it may be a bit short but you might get buy.

Southern Saskatchewan
Our set up is a 310 hp 9200 40' 5710 w/5350 cart 9.8 spacing with 2" spoons. The 9200 had 20.8R42 and would power hop 650/65r42 Michelins fixed that and pulled like crazy. Then switched to 3" Bourgault openers with and wetter soil conditions it takes all 310hp and would really like more. It doesn't take much of a hill and I am lacking power. Talking about Bourassa's the 5710 and 5350 both came from Assiniboia and Radville. Would it pull it? Probably but it would be on the edge with my experiences.

I pulled a 40 foot with 225 cart and an anhydrous tank behind that with 1 in. openers with a versatile 700 with 300 hp easily, but had a separate engine to power the fan. It was an 8810 with packers.

Ive got a 40' 5710 with 5350 tank and pull double 1000 gal NH3 hooked to a 9220 deere with 325 hp. When the seed tank is full and the bottles are both full at the same time I wish I had another 50 hp. I pulled it for a couple years with a 9100 that was 260 hp any little hill and it was really struggling and I was only pulling it about 5.8 mph. With the 9220 it pulls it pretty good at 6.6 mph.

What kind of openers are you using, pulling at 6.6 mph?

I ran a 74ft 5710 with 1 inch openers on 9.8 inch spacing and mid row banders with a 450bu tow between 6450 cart, had a chipped STX 485 with 520/85R46 triples in front of it,putting out well over 600hp,traction was the big issue during the wet spring seeding season here in saskatchewan, when the packers start to pick up mud and the scrapers start to work, you need as many horses as possible, and weight to put it to the ground, some guys here run 47ft units behind 370hp tractors and say its not overkill at all.It depends on your soil conditions, but i would be careful with only 250hp...
Here is a little video of me seeding peas with the mid row banders up on one of the drier fields last spring:
