West Texas | Hank, I'm not sure if the roots would cause problems or not. In cotton with big roots and stalks if not shredded just right it will ball up, but if we run a field cultivator ahead of the plow it will go right thru it with no problems.
With you having ripped it I think it will not be a problem.
We run around 4.5 to 5 mph with the bigger tractors (200+ hp) and it will burry a lot of trash and turn over right nicely. If you go much faster it throws the dirt too far without really turning it over good.
In tight dirt it will pull the tractor around quite bit. | |
