Subject: Zimmatic AIMS Advanced panel problem

Eastern Washington State
Just had my AIMS advanced panel go dead while I was looking at it tonight. I'm ugly, but not that ugly. What would cause that?
Line voltage is good.
All fuses intact.
I measured 25 DCvolts going to the panel circuitboard. Whether that's right or not, I have no idea.

The wind tonight was cutting me to the bone, and I don't really like poking test leads around a pivot panel while shivering.

Pretty hard to start the pivot up when the panel is dead!!!!!

Any thoughts?

Thanks,

Pasco WA.
I had an AIMS panel do that a couple of years ago. Turned out to be a bad power supply. I have no idea how to troubleshoot them though. Have you found a Zimmatic dealer with a service department? Our local dealer forgot about that part of the dealership.

Jay,

I'm not that far from you so your local dealer is probably my local dealer. I'm a 3 year veteran to this pivot stuff. I've troubleshot tower boxes and centerdrives and collector rings, but when it comes to circuitboards and LCD displays I'm LOST.

If your using my local dealer good luck with the service call. I have heard that their is good service out of Othello and Moses Lake, you might try going that way.

Try Jeremy at ECS Northwest in Pasco, Very sharp but very busy, Probabley the power supply, he jumpered one of mine and made it go. Only guy I will let work on my telemitry and pump panels.

I feel your pain. I can do most stuff after it gets out of the control panel, but that often confuses the dealer. This is why I rely on T&L pivots. They are so simple even I can fix anything on them.
