SW Saskatchewan | Relatives work with crushers and use the 1150 in loaders and for power plants, new Q series (QSK I believe), are happy with them but when you run 24-7 52 wks/yr the hrs pile up.
Loved the N series cummins because they were so cheap to repair compared to Cat, the Q series are still cheaper than Cat but the price gap has narrowed.
K series were always expensive to repair, they had used some K's in the 38 liter(V block) configuration but the fuel efficiency of the Q series K 19 liter producing same horsepower has caused them to discontinue use of the old style 38 liter.
K series in the old Buds were workhorses but you could ( and would) drop 25K into an overhaul.
The 9190's have all disappeared into specialty operations, the SP sprayer and glyphosate killed the 80" cultivator and for other uses the lighter tractors were plenty good.
Toss in the Cat farm tractors and they had had their day by 1990!
