| We spent this morning putting saddle tanks on 2 new 7430's, which is in itself worthy of a rant since they seem to be making tractors harder and harder to design tanks for, but what really set me off is all the exposed wiring under the tractor. I counted about 4 wiring harnesses and several sensors that wouldn't last a day in cotton stalks (or even corn stalks if you were running your header very high). Forget putting one of these on a shredder or a boll buggy. Do they think we just drive around on clean, bare soil all the time? It couldn't take much effort to design things so that you're not going to tear something up every time you drive over something more than 2 feet tall. | |
