Subject: how much HP for 24' disc

... in tough, rooty ground? Looking to update our old tractor (IH 1086) but I'm honestly not sure what kind of HP it's putting out. Supposed to be 125 HP but who knows after almost 40 years. All I know is this disc is all it wants. Would be nice to have more HP.

Looking at Deeres, some tell me a 4440 would be adequate for this size disc. Others say a 46xx would be a safer bet. Any opinions? Don't care about PTO or small frame vs large frame as pulling this disc is about all it will need to do. How big a tractor is ideal for a 24' disc in tough, rooty soil? Thanks.
