South-central Nebraska
Wife and I had some friends over and we had picked up pizza and salad from a local pizza chain in Nebraska, Valentinos. The ranch dressing you get from this place and many others is really good. It is thin, almost watery put really creamy, salty and tangy compared to bought out of the bottle. Does nayone have a recipe for ranch, the thin type not thick? Sorry I can't be more descriptive.

You can buy the hidden valley packet for ranch dressing, and use Hellman's mayo and milk. You have to mix the packet with the milk before adding the mayo.

OH, Valentinos, love that place but they aren't in Missouri.

Hidden Valley is really good. If you want it to be thin use more milk and less mayo...... I like it with Miracle Whip so that you have a little sweetness with that zip and tang....
