West Central Wisconsin | A lot of NATer's are looking for easy crock pot/slow cooker recipes so I thought I'd pass along a good one. My wife made this delicious slow cooker meal for supper last night that we served on spaghetti noodles and there was enough left over to put on Hoagie buns tonight. It required no additional herbs or spices and was so tender and sweet and didn't need anything. She found the recipe on allrecipes.com under slow cooker recipes.
Ingredients
8 (4 ounce) links fresh Italian sausage (we used 12)
1 (26 ounce) jar spaghetti sauce
1 green bell pepper, seeded and sliced into strips
1 onion, sliced
Directions
Place the Italian sausage links, spaghetti sauce, green pepper and onion into a slow cooker. Stir to coat everything in sauce. Cover, and cook on Low for 6 hours. Serve on hoagie rolls, or over rice (or noodles)
