Oh no, we's much more sophisticated than that. Got a couple racks of pork ribs on the grill and makin up some slathering sauce. Saaay, I wonder how a little of that Wild Turkey would taste in there. Joe.

been on since about 9 am here. 2 racks of them. Was 24°F when I started the smoker. Just set the black eyed peas on there next to the sausage and baked potatoes. I'll have everything ready in about an hr or so.
Soaked the ribs down with a homemade honey butter sauce and will make some BBQ sauce out of that here in just a little bit. Sippin on some Jager in between. lol

I bought a 5th because of the rave reviews I saw here, even the checkout guy at the store talked very highly of it. I was surprised how much less it cost than Crown Royal. I wasn't impressed with it, guess I'm just not that into whiskey drinking. That's probably not a bad thing.

What about a 5th of Fourty Creek? It'll never get used here. I did buy a qt. of egg-nog thinking I'd try to mix it down some, but haven't tried that yet either. Only one shot has left the bottle.

Dang I misread, I thought you had Wild Turkey. Never even heard of Forty Creek. You've got the liquor store just down the road from you maybe he'll take in on consignment for one of the "regulars". ha.

Makers Mark didn't do anything for me. Of the bourbons I've tried in the last year I would rank them in this order. Elijah Craig-12 yr. old, Evan Williams-single barrel, Old Forrester, Elijah Craig-18yr old, and Rebel Yell. I tried Knob Creek at a resturant one evening. That drink was $5 and although not bad, I like the other less expensive ones above, more. I take my bourbon on ice. Joe.

Ok my drinking days are long gone but when I get the chance I enjoy Jack daniels on the rocks, have heard Gentleman Jack and single barrel jack are very good, haven't tried either one but how do these compare? I like my JD and thats only drank when someone else is driveing. Bob

Recieved Gentleman Jack with cocktail shaker for Christmas. Smoother than straight JD. Toured the distillary last year and if memory serves me GJ is mellowed through charcoal twice. Single Barrel is just that, made from a single barrel versus a blending of barrels. You may purchase a single barrel for $10K? You get all the whiskey bottled plus get the empty barrel. There were brass tags lining the walls of a room of individuals or companies that have bought single barrels. With each barrel purchased you get another mark on your tag. Joe.
