Subject: What type of oil to use in Fuller 10 speed transmission?

West TN
I am getting ready to change the transmission oil in a Mack CH613 that I just bought. It has a Fuller
FRO-15210C transmission with approx 400k miles. Oil in the transmission now appears to be red in color and I am told by Mack Service Mgr that it is probalby 50 wt synthetic. He says I can refill with either 50 wt motor oil or 80W-90 GL5 gear oil. This seems like a wide spread in the visosicity of the two oils?
I would rather use the 80W-90 since that is what is used in the rear axles. Anyone else using 80W-90?
TIA
