Subject: Anyone Using Litchi or Maven App For Their Drone?

Central Western VA Mountains
I’ve read a few posts that indicate DJI’s active track, newer versions, struggle or can’t lock onto a tractor, combine, piece of farm machinery, etc., for follow me mode flying/videoing. Skydio had their beacon which the drone flyer could carry and that drone would follow it everywhere, but no longer sell consumer drones.

So not happy with the current crop of “follow me” drones when it comes to farm videos.

I’ve got an older Mavic Mini that does not have follow me capabilities and I’m not ready to buy a new drone that won’t lock onto farm equipment.

So today, I stumbled on a couple of phone apps that can give an older DJI drone follow me capabilities. One is Litchi and the other is Mavan. From what I glean from YouTube videos and reading online is - they establish a connection between your phone/controller and the drone and the drone goes where ever the phone/controller. It does not rely on visuals to follow like an active track. Pretty slickers IMHO and maybe just what I need.

Question - anyone use Litchi or Maven to fly their DJI drones?

Thanks!
