Dad had a 15" genuine Crescent brand adjustable wrench we keep in the tool box in the shop. I picked it up out of the drawer the other day and the knurled adjuster fell out. Looked and looked and could not find the pin. I thought to myself "There had to be replacement parts available for this". So I tied all the pieces together and brought it home. This morning I did a quick search and found Cooper Tools website (www.cooperhandtools.com) It is great, found exactly what I need, a part AC115PSK. Looks like just what I want
I don't need the knurl, but expected to have to buy a kit instead of just the pin. However it appears I can't order from Cooper, so I put AC115PSK in a Google search and get 915 hits. For Google that is a fairly small number. So I start going through the list. I find it one place for $12.85 Another for $7.30... but when I check shipping they want over $12 to ship it. I though for an item that according to the manufacturer weighs .100 pounds that was a bit excessive. Then I found another supplier. Only $6.30! But shipping was over $16!!!
I was a bit frustrated when I looked the desk and there was a pile of invoices printed out from Amazon. My wife has been Christmas shopping. So I went to Amazon.com I found it on Amazon for $8.50. And because my wife was doing her Christmas shopping we have Amazon Prime. I think is $30-$40 a year but it makes a lot of stuff free 2nd day shipping. This part qualified, so I got it for $8.50 total cost and should be here Monday. Maybe I should go look for combine parts...
