Subject: Farmer Built Side dress rig (Repurposed scrap Iron)

NE S.Dakota

I have been working on this project for a few years, and posted questions about design etc here on NAT several times. A lot of good advice sent my way.  All the parts came together in the last week, and I have completed my rig, and completed my sidedressing.

After trying to buy a bar out of the trees from a few different farmers, I finally found one at an auction just a few miles down the road. I was bidding against the local scrapper,up to $400, thought I had it at $500, but someone else jumped in and I owned it at $1100. The spray pup was sitting at a liquidator 45 miles away for a few years, I had looked at it as a pattern, since I have a Spray pup sitting in the weeds. Finally I decided to call the guy who had the pup, he made me a heck of a deal on it, so I bought it rather than redoing my own.  The main beam of the hitch is a JD lift arm ,found in a farmer's scrap pile.

The hypro pump needed a new impeller, and o ring, most of the fittings were there but used in different spots.

It all turned out well and works well.
