Our local JD dealer came out a couple days ago & installed the new factory mod for preventing trash build-up under the turbo which has caused some fires apparently. I believe dealer said this same kit appears on the newest factory-built tractors also. This "box" seals off the bottom area of the turbo inlet/manifold, yet allows air through the screens. Note the cleaner (sorry m.) green box surrounded by a black seal beneath the black intake tube coming from the compressor side of the turbo. That is the installed kit.

I'm not sure which tractors qualify for the kits. Ours is a 9630. Check w/your dealer.
