Trenton, KY | This summer we are building a 70' wide x 96' long x 19' high clear span wooden post frame building with a 4/12 pitch on the trusses, then off of one side will be a 30' shed roof with a 2/12 pitch and 13' clearance under the truss plates. The supplier we sat down with to plan everything out sells Perma Columns and I believe they look like the way to go with a post frame building? We figured the actual increase in the cost per hole for a 6x6 post, taking into account the 5' shorter post plus the cost of the Perma Columns and it worked out to be right at $20 per hole more expensive, so on our building the total increase in cost would be around $1,150. The increased cost is no big deal and I think well worth it? What kind of luck have those with Perma Columns had?
Thanks in advance for all comments. | |
