Highland Center, in Southeast Iowa | Our son owns this tank wagon body (no running gear), and is looking to sell it. We know very little of its history, other than it's the tank from a horse-drawn fuel delivery wagon, fully riveted construction, 3 compartments, you can make out Standard Oil and Polarine on the one side, nothing visible on the other. Driver's seat is part of the construction of the tank.
Anyone have any idea at all what age it is, what it should be worth or a likely place to look for potential buyers? We know he needs to locate a true collector, not just somebody who wants to put it on a rack and use it for oil storage.
