Subject: pulling 5 shank ripper?

Eastern Iowa
Went to put the mounted 5 shank ripper on the MX255 (full set of front weights and duals front and rear) the other day and I see that the bottom 2 arms on the 3 point of the tractor are just a bit too wide to match up to the ripper. I could move the arms in on the three point but then I'd need to move them back out for the other 3 point applications we use that tractor for. I think that we'll just use the heat wrench and welder to move the bottom two connecting points out a bit on the ripper. But not time for that now so my question is, will the T7040 with rear duals, front wheel assist, but no weights be able to get enough power to the ground to handle it? Just don't want to even waste time trying if there is no chance as there are still plenty of other things to due this fall. Primarily used on packed end rows with heavy waggon traffic in heavy black soil in Eastern Iowo. FYI-tried using the old 4640 with full set of front weights on this ripper years before and just simply spun and lifted front end up off the ground most of the time.
