My wife drives a Nissan Murano and loves it.  60K+ flawless miles.  Yesterday we received a letter from Nissan that explained that they had complaints from owners that the CVT transmission was very expensive to replace or fix.  Because of this they were extending the warranty from 6/60 to 10/120 free of charge and would make it retroactive repaying for any problems even if you didn't own the vehicle anymore. 

From what I can gather the transmission is as good as anything out there and rarely causes problems.

The big 3, as well as, Ag manufacturers could learn alot from this kind of approach.  I know Nissan just went a long way toward earning a loyal customer.
