I have designed a web based program that is working great for this problem. I will work on a demo version in the next week or two.

We use a small cheap netbook laptop with a recipt printer in each grain cart with internet access. As each load leaves the field a recipt get printed and is given to the truck driver. This ticket includes a computer generated ticket number and other information about the load like. Field ID, Delivery location,Trucking company,Date & time loaded and other info all from drop down pick boxes. The driver makes sure that this Ticket number gets placed on the scale ticket at the elevator and from there we can track the load through payment process. Since this information is web based I can watch every load leave the field from any web based computer anywhere. This can also be acessed from any internet cell phone.

I am in the process of hiring a asp.net delevoper to help complete the project before the fall harvest begins.(Please contact me if you are interested)  There is also a workorder portion of this program. After a field operation is completed, you log in and record the operation information. This then opens up a workorder for the next operation. An example would be that after harvest is complete, the field would show up on the fertilizer list to be ready to spread if that field needed fertilized. If it did not need any fertilizer then it would jump straight to the chisel ready list. There is also a ToDo list included. How many times do you see something that needs worked on when you are in the field, but you forget about it until the next time you are in the field.

We are using this program every day. It just needs to have all of the bugs worked out before released to the public. It will be sold as a monthly service fee.
