South of Springfield IL | Grain cart drivers write the weight of the load into a 3 ring note book. They just keep adding loads to this page till they get the field done or a new day. I want to know what field, who it was loaded on to and where was it suppose to go. I want these records by day, then field. The driver then tells the semi driver how much over the 2 way radio. The driver at the dump site will fill out a ticket just like an elevator, field, moisture, what bin it is going to and the weight, or if they are crossing a scale at one of the farms they will use the platform scale weight. Scale tickets are per numbered, this also helps keep track of grain. At the end of the day I will collect all tickets and I like to use Easi Crops for keeping track of loads. If going to town, driver will write on the ticket where it was harvested at. I do tickets every nite, if something doesn't look or feel right I can ask first thing next morning while it is still fresh. I will enter co-op tickets every night into easi crops also. When all is said and done I will have grain cart sheet, driver log sheet, scale tickets made at the dump site, and the entering of tickets into easi crops. Yes this does work. | |
