@FarmerGC79 WCIL | I think you would be best off to come up with a numbering system for fields first, or some sort of system other than names. Next, take mike's farm ticket, copy paste, and change the name on top to make it your own, that is your bin ticket, then your elevator tickets should do the rest. Do you have a scale at grain bins? Drivers get paid their normal wage if they can account for all tickets, problem is, your grain cart opperators are just as at fault as truck drivers, these guys also need to know how many trucks they loaded, who they loaded, and where they were to go. If you run fm radio's, run a cb also for field operations. After all this is your proffession not a race, right? We all know what a strain this year was, but the minimal amount of time that it takes to organize these guys first thing is priceless. Lastly, we have just small little baskets, with farm number, name, and crop that year, in our shop office, driver is responsible for emptying his tickets out of his truck every night, into those baskets. From there, grain cart count and scale tickets should corralate and if they do, bookkeeper enters tickets onto excel spreadsheet with info for proper field. | |
