Bob Chapman says to stick your money in the Prescious metals and if you have lots of money and want to diversify then you can invest in Canadian and Swiss treasuries. I believe that is correct. Many top billionaires in the world at this moment are looking at places to stick their money to preserve it. Many do not mind losing 10% or so of it as long as they get to keep some of it. One day people will wake up with nothing. Maybe a year to a year and a half away. But you never know these days. The Gov. is lying about all the data. They say over 500 banks are in real trouble but the actual figure is over 2500 banks have failed but they are just stringing them along. FDIC will be dissolved because it has been operating in the red for many months now and had to borrow money from the treausury, think that figure was 80 billion. They need another 1 trillion more though.
If I remember reading right a couple of weeks back. Bank of America said that interest bearing accounts would no longer be backed with the FDIC with them. I would not bank with them at all. The fed is dumping all the bad assesst it can into that bank and then collaspe it. It will happen. That is one reason why that they have had such a hard time finding someone to take the reigns of the place.
