Jim your cows look to be in really good shape. I don't think there is a problem grazing cows on corn, it all comes down to cost per head per day. If you have to pay more for hay than corn, graze the corn. The key is to limit the amount they get to what they need on a daily/weekly basis so they don't get too fat. I feed beef cows a mainly corn silage diet all winter, some people think I am crazy, the cows will get too fat, they don't need the energy. It is all in how much you feed them.
