Scott,

That is exactly what I am finding also. The big photogenic cows are generally my least profitable. I do have a 1450 lb cow however that produces a calf proportional to her weight but that's about the top end of the profitable cow size for my Herefords.

My most profitable cows appear to be mostly in the 1200-1350 lb range. There is more to a profitable cow than just weight but it seems to be very hard to have a profitable cow over about 1400 lb.
