Ours is mounted on the wall above the cows by the door where they exit the parlor. It's close to the exit door so it can be used for blasting mud or manure off equipment. There is a copper pipe that runs up a stall pipe and along the ceiling to the pump so the hose can be wrapped on the parlor pit wall. It is on a 0-15 minute timer so if you forget it, the pump wont burn up. The first one I had was on a switch a cow walked in and licked the switch on good bye pump. Craig
