Subject: electrician - my pet peave.

NC Iowa
had electrician out to find a short in the grain bin wiring. found it fast, it was a broken wire on a auger motor at the fusebox. i told him to replace the whole 16 ft. wire, instead of splicing in a piece. i went out to combine, while thinking i would put the old powercord wire onto another motor that the cord was getting very bad.

when i got back from the field, the old wire was gone. they took it with them. all the tape, insulation cutoffs ect was on the ground, so it was not just 'cleaning up' i suppect they have a scrap copper business going on the side. many people might not care, but i suppect most farmers would notice. why not ask first. if not sure just leave it. they already charged $75 an hr. plus supplies plus trip.

there, i am starting to get over it!
