South Plains of Texas | Don't mean to interrupt ya'lls discussion, but we had a guy experimenting with square baling cotton here. He just turned of the air on his stripper and windrowed the cotton and then picked it up with a baler. The baler did a really clean job. This guy says he is going to get a 60 header and make a 12 row and mount it on the front of a tractor and then run and air shoot to the baler behind the tractor. I don't know, I think it has merit but the expense of a baler and the another tractor and fork lift to move the bales. I wonder if you could mount the baler behind the burr machines on a 9986 and take the basket off. I heard that JD would have used a square baler but they don't have the patent on it, just round. | |
