Subject: 4440 Electrical

SE MN Still in Pothole Country
Was chopping stalks yesterday with JD 4440. After it got dark I turned on the lights and after running a while I lost the high beams, the instrument lights, the radio, and the cab dome light at the same time. The blower fan worked and I checked the wipers and they worked. I had similar symptoms last spring and checked the connector behind the battery on the injection pump side of tractor and it looked OK. Cannot remember if I looked at relays under the cowling for loose connections etc. Any guesses what is causing the high beams, the dome light, the radio, and the instrment lights to go at the same time? I checked today and everything worked so I am guessing circuit breaker or feed to circuit breaker. The bad thing about electrical problems is they can be hard to figure out. The good thing is they usually do not cost much to fix.
