Corn after wheat is the rotation of choice here in Ontario. No-till or conventional. Soybean ground would be better for corn but that usually gets eaten up by fall wheat.
I've planted corn into burned off wheat in the spring (snow mould) around the middle of May and it outyeiled conventional right beside it that was planted two weeks before it !
I don't buy this crap .
The only thing you have to watch with the previous crop of wheat is the old stems don't touch the new corn shoot. On your no-till planter have at least a 3 inch work zone.
