The calves will be going into corn in January. As I recall last year, they just dug right in. They will be with the bull so maybe just watch him. Sort of like a kid in a candy store - they figure it out pretty quick!

Here are a couple pics from last January. These two steers pictured are probably a bit over 800 lb in late Jan. They can put on about 2.5 lb/day or more grazing like this. These two were probably about 950 lb coming off of corn last year. With a bit earlier calving and knowing more about the system my goal this year is to get them at about 1000 coming off of corn.
