Jim, a couple question. Do you finish the cows on this, the calves were getting big, what type of daily gain do you see. Do you supplement protein while they graze this, or is that what the hay is for?

All the old timers here tell me they used to graze cornstalks and velvetbeans. I think this was when the oldtimers were young, so it was long ago. Velvetbean is a climbing legume, so i guess it adds alot of protein. It sounds like a few of them had to handplant the velvetbean after the corn started growing, but others said they put bean in one row, and corn in the next. Have you considered a row of a legume like forage soybeans? Anyway great pics.
