Dixon Springs, IL | I have a finance degree as well; hang in there you will finish. I started by purchasing an 80 acre tract in 2002. I cash rented it out for two years while I saved up enough funds to purchase some basic equipment and put a crop out. I put my first crop out in 2005. Since then I have added acreage each year along with some debt. Take on just enough acreage your first couple of years to get you feet wet and get things figured out; if something goes wrong then you won't lose your shirt.
I second MSB's comment about prayer; the Lord made it possible for me to do what I do. When I started, I told God I would get as big or small as he wanted me to be; he is in control. | |
